XTS-SW-LIC-TRANSwMEDIA: Software License Transfer, Same Model Systems

This line item is only for the transfer between systems capable of using the same version of the OS. Thus, it is not appropriate to use this for a Pentium I to Model 300 Pentium II or Model 500 Pentium III license transfer. Those require the XTS-DII-OS-0001-UP be ordered. Model 500 to 500, 300 to 300, 300 to 500 or 500 to 300 are what are allowed under this MI. This does not allow a transfer to XTS-400. Includes new copy of software. This transfer is only available for "prime" systems currently under warranty or under extended warranty.

To order this transfer, provide the following information:

1. The system number (HSnnnn) from which the license(s) will be transferred ("old prime").
2. The address of the system from which the license(s) will be transferred.
3. The system number to which the license(s) will be transferred ("old spare").
4. The address of the system to which the license(s) will be transferred.
5. The date the transfer will be effective.
6. The mailing address to which the license should be sent.

The remaining Telephone Software Support for the software on the old "prime" will also transfer to the "new prime". The remaining hardware support on the old "prime" will likewise transfer between systems. After the effective date of the license transfer, the customer has no license to run the STOP operating system in a production or development mode on the "old prime" system.

XTS-P3-OS-0001-UP: Software License Transfer, Different Model Systems

This line item is for a customer who has a 486 or Pentium based XTS system and who wishes to replace the existing system with the higher performance Pentium-II/III version. This line item requires the customer to remove STOP from the prior system within one month of receipt as the customer receives a license for only the Pentium-II/III version and agrees to the revocation of his previous license. The customer retains the hardware from the prior system but no longer has a license to run STOP software on it. This does not allow a transfer to newer XTS hardware. Includes new copy of software. This transfer is only available for "prime" systems currently under warranty or under extended warranty.

To order this transfer, provide the following information:

1. The system number (HSnnnn) from which the license(s) will be transferred ("old prime").
2. The address of the system from which the license(s) will be transferred.
3. The system number to which the license(s) will be transferred ("old spare").
4. The address of the system to which the license(s) will be transferred.
5. The date the transfer will be effective.
6. The mailing address to which the license should be sent.

The remaining Telephone Software Support for the software on the old "prime" will also transfer to the "new prime". The remaining hardware support on the old "prime" will likewise transfer between systems. After the effective date of the license transfer, the customer has no license to run the STOP operating system in a production or development mode on the "old prime" system.

XTS-P3-SW-ITAR: Export License Administration

Export License Administration (Per country/Per Contract).

Export license coordination with the US Government is required for any export of XTS software to non-US Government entities. The STOP Operating System and related software and documentation are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS), and distribution to foreign nationals requires a U. S. State Department license. This license is based on a per contract (program) / per country basis. DigitalNet must receive a "letter of intent" for the purchase of an XTS-300 to initiate the ITAR process with the U.S. Government. This procedure takes the U.S. Government between 30 and 60 days (average) to process. DigitalNet cannot ship until the Government's ITAR processing has completed. Software updates are also subject to specific ITAR approvals and the promptness of delivery is subject to ITAR approval delays.

The line items in this section can be used to extend the software and hardware warranty that comes with a new system. All extended warranty items include replacement of disk drives containing classified material without returning the drive to DigitalNet.

The monthly maintenance order must specify the system number, the number of months being ordered, the unit (monthly price) of each ordered item, and the total price.

Installation Services

DigitalNet service offering includes a site survey and the installation of either one or two prime Guard systems, depending upon the chosen service. The site survey requires an engineer to visit the site for approximately one day and to provide additional phone consultation. The purpose of a site survey is to physically evaluate the site's readiness for installation of the DigitalNet XTS-300 DII Guard. This includes an examination of the area where the Guard is to be installed, dialog with site personnel (including the system administrators and security people), and the gathering of information necessary to configure the Guard for operational readiness. Information such as host names, IP addresses, and the location of external components such as mail servers, and any other components that the Guard might need to communicate with during its normal operation should be provided by the site at this time. Any information that is classified, such as passwords, need not be disclosed until the installation team arrives at the site. The output of the site survey will be a report listing the information necessary to configure the Guard for both the network connections and the DII Guard filters. The installation will be performed on a single site lasting approximately three to five working days. If a spare system is to be installed at the same time, and location, as the prime system then it will be installed with no additional charge.

Site Access - Access will be provided to each installation site as a minimum, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0800 hours and 1700 hours, local time, each day.

Site Security - The contractor will be informed of any special site clearance requirements through the submission of DD Form 254 30 days prior to installation. All Security matters and necessary paperwork must be completed prior to arrival. The Government will provide multiple escorts when necessary in order to facilitate the installation process of multiple units at a given site. The contractor will be informed of any restriction on the use of special test equipment, laptop computers and network analyzers at the installation site. In the event that there are restrictions on the contractor providing this equipment, the contractor requires that the Government provide the necessary equipment at the installation site.

Site Preparation - The contractor requires the following to allow for timely installation:

1. Primary Power of 115 VAC @ 15 amps within 8 feet of the Guard installation site.
2. Setup and installation of all necessary network and serial cabling, for the Guard system prior to the arrival of the installation team. The contractor shall provide physical cabling and connectors' requirements.
3. Designated mail servers to which the Guard can forward mail for all attached networks.
4. Technical expertise necessary for installation, modifying and configuring the site (e.g., Guard, mail systems, networks).

This is a firm fixed price line item for the site survey of an installation of one or two prime guard systems at a location within 50 miles of Tysons Corner, Virginia. The "service zone" definition when ordering Site Survey's and Installations is as follows:

• Zone 0: a location within 50 miles of Tysons Corner, Virginia.
  
• Zone 1: a location within the continental United States (CONUS).
  
• Zone 2: a location within Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, or Central America.
  
• Zone 3: a location within Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, South America, or the Middle East.

When ordering shipping, the following zone definitions shall be used:

• CONUS: A location within the continental United States.
  
• OCONUS: A location outside of the continental United States.
  

These training courses detail XTS-300 /Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) GUARD concepts and utilization for operators and system administrators and includes classroom lecture, exercises and workshops. Students, who are unable to attend a class for which they are registered, must cancel such class at least 7 calendar days before the beginning of the class. Students who cancel a class subsequent to this 7-day requirement and "no-shows" will be subject to a cancellation penalty equal to 10% of the student's training fee.

XTS-DII-PER-CLASS-8day: Training, DII Concept, Dedicated Class (8 Days)
This model identifier is used to purchase a dedicated 8-day DII Guard training course of up to 12 students utilizing six XTS-300 systems. Course is taught in Herndon, Virginia. This course is designed to certify guard operators; students who pass the final exam will be certified to operate the DII Guard.

Prerequisites: It is strongly recommended that students possess a working knowledge of the VI editor or the EMACS editor to adequately perform the exercises and workshops. It is also required that the students have an understanding of basic networking concepts and of the DMS architecture in order to understand the lectures.

Topics: This course features detailed instructions on the DII Guard Concepts of Operations, the Support Concepts, XTS-300 Operations, System Security Filtering Procedures, System Recovery Procedures, DII Guard Monitoring Tools and Procedures, Troubleshooting Tools and Procedures, comprehensive Log Analysis, and Directory Chaining and Shadowing Agreements. Lab workshops and written exercises are provided after each topic to test the skills taught and a final test will be given on the last day in order to certify the participants.

Note: In order to be certified as a DII Guard administrator and operator the students are required to pass both a written and hands-on test in conjunction with full 8-day attendance. If necessary, the student can retake the tests a 2nd time on the day after class finishes.

XTS-DII-PER-STUDENT-8day: Training, DII Concept, Open Enrollment (8 Days)
This model identifier is used to purchase a single seat in a DII Guard 8 day course. The prerequisite and topic material is the same as described in line item XTS-DII-PER-CLASS-8day. A minimum of 6 students must be enrolled for an open enrollment course to be taught. Course is taught in Herndon, Virginia. This course is designed to certify guard operators; students who pass the final exam will be certified to operate the DII Guard.
